07.03.2009 • Morgan Scott Trio
Appearing regularly at The Java Room, the trio consists of Morgan Scott on piano, Tom Curatolo on bass and Ed Conley on drums, percussion. “We create adventurous music of the moment...” spontaneous composition at times and traditional jazz standards at others. Sometimes a quick burst of an idea comes across one of our minds’ ear, and if we are free of ourselves we let that idea emerge. The rest of the group will react to the idea, or the idea presented exists as a counterpoint to whatever is already going on in the music. The result can be astounding...and not so astounding...but it will always be. I am lucky to be able to play with such great players as Ed and Tom and we have cultivated a musical bond that I believe is rare in music.” –Morgan Scott
