Two Cat Folk and Jon Swenson will be playing in the round. Two Cat Folk, the musical partnership of singer songwriters John Ferullo and Betsi Mandrioli, draws audiences in with warmth and sincerity. Their unique styles blend to create subtle rhythms, rich harmonies, and an earthy passion for the music of the people. Betsi’s and John’s songs tell stories of real life, sometimes with humor, sometimes with compassion. They also perform traditional and contemporary favorites from the folk tradition. Jon Swenson is a songwriter with a lot of soul playing original songs on his tenor guitar. His songs range from very funny to very touching. Jon has been playing and writing since the 60’s and delivers his songs in warm tenor voice.

Both men teach their instrument in different locations in the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The DoubleNecks' sound crosses many boundaries, with interests ranging from 1930's gypsy jazz, 1940's swing blues, 1950's twang rockabilly and beyond into 1960's soul and 1970's funk styles. Original compositions based on a mood are prevalent in their performance, as well as traditional instrumental guitar favorites.

“Pianist/guitarist Morgan Scott received his formal training at Berklee College of Music, graduating in 1993. He teaches private lessons in the Southborough area and teaches at jazz clinics in Vancouver, B.C. and Stanford University. Playing jazz standards primarily, he incorporates free improvisation into his performances. Groups include Spirit Session, a free improvisation unit a la ECM records; the Ed Conley Quartet, and Hip Anonymous, a jazz fusion group.”

"East of Shirley" is a 7-piece ensemble from the Groton, MA area that plays an eclectic musical mix, from contemporary acoustic to blues and country rock. The group performs both original compositions and covers and recently completed work on their debut album “A Thousand Sarajevos.” Joining Michael Clark on acoustic guitar and vocals are: Lydia Biasi on vocals, Tim Langevin on lead acoustic and electric guitars and vocals, Dan Fassett on harmonica, fiddle, and mandolin, Nate Ranney on fretless bass, Ed Conley on congas and other exotic percussion instruments (the African tongue drum!), and Steve Preston on kit drums.
